France hooker Peato Mauvaka signs new Toulouse deal

Toulouse have confirmed that France international Peato Mauvaka has signed a contract extension with the Top 14 club.

The decision follows after Toulouse recently completed the title win in the 2023/24 season of Top 14 where they defeated Bordeaux Begles in the final with a 59-3 margin.

He also had an exception outing in the final having a scored a try with another ruled out as they completed the domestic title triumph in addition to their Champions Cup win earlier in the year.

The 27-year-old has been associated with Toulouse since his professional rugby debut in 2016 and in the recently concluded season he played 20 matches that includes 14 starts and has racked up 10 tries.

Mauvaka has won four Top 14 titles with Toulose in 2019,2021,2023 and 2024 and two Champions Cup triumphs in 2021 and 2024. He has also played 33 Tests for France since making his international debut in 2019 and represented France Under 20 side in the past.
