Draws for Investec Champions Cup 2024/25 season announced

The draws for the upcoming 2024/25 season of the Investec Champions Cup and European Challenge Cup have been announced on Tuesday.

The winners of the recently concluded Champions Cup Toulouse has been grouped in Pool One along with Premiership sides Exeter Chiefs and Leicester Tigers. They will be joined by 2024 Challenge Cup winners Sharks along with French club Bordeaux Begles and Irish side Ulster.

The runners up of the previous season Leinster will be featuring in the second group along with Bristol and Bath from the Premiership and two French clubs in Clermont and La Rochelle. Italy bound Benetton completed the remainder of the group.

The third group will see Saracens and Northampton Saints battling out along with Bulls, Munster, Stade Francais and Castres while the fourth and final Pool will see winners of the United Rugby Championship Glasgow along with Premiership sides Sale Sharks and Harlequins. They will be joined by Top 14 clubs Racing 92 and Toulon along with South African side Stormers.

Champions Cup draw:

Pool One: Toulouse, Bordeaux Begles, Sharks, Exeter Chiefs, Leicester Tigers, Ulster
Pool Two: Leinster, Clermont Auvergne, La Rochelle, Bristol Bears, Benetton, Bath
Pool Three: Northampton Saints, Munster, Bulls, Stade Francais, Saracens, Castres
Pool Four: Glasgow Warriors, Racing 92, Sale Sharks, Stormers, RC Toulon, Harlequins

Meanwhile, the Challenge Cup draws will see six teams equally divided into three groups equally. The first group will see one of the invited club Toyota Cheetahs along with Connacht, USAP, Lyon Olympique Universitaire and Zebre Parma.

The second Pool will see Montpellier and Section Paloise grouped along with Newcastle Falcons, Dragons RFC, Emirates Lions and Ospreys while the final group will see Georgia’s Black Lion alongside Aviron Bayonnais, Scarlets, Edinburgh Rugby, Gloucester Rugby. RC Vannes, who will make their EPCR debut following their promotion to Top 14 complete the rest of the club.
