Blues have announced that half-hack Sam Nock has signed a two-year contract extension with the club until 2026 season.

Nock made his professional rugby debut with provincial side Northland in 2015 and made his Super Rugby debut with Blues a year later.

The 28-year-old was part of the club's victorious 2024 campaign during which he played 11 times. Overall, he has represented the club in 73 games and also had represented New Zealand Under 20 side in the past.

“I’ve been with the Blues since 2016, I’ve grown up here and made some life-long mates, so to sign on for another couple of seasons was an easy decision,” said Nock to the club's official website.

“I love the mindset shift we’ve made and can’t wait to keep growing on that. Seeing our region get behind us during the title run definitely made us hungry for more. Let’s get after it - kia ora tatou".
