Melbourne Rebels have received a much needed boost ahead of their Super Rugby Pacific quarter-finals clash against Hurricanes at Sky Stadium on Saturday with Carter Gordon making a return.

Gordon was sidelined with a concussion forcing him to miss the last two weeks but now returns to take the fly-half position with Jake Strachan dropping out of the matchday squad.

While the front row rand second row remains unchanged, Lachie Anderson starts at right wing replacing Andrew Kellaway, who now moves to fullback. David Feiluai and Filipo Daugunu continue to remain at midfield.

“They’ve all trained today, except for Lukhan (Salakaia-Loto) so without playing any games, they’re all fully fit,” Foote said on Tuesday.

“Hopefully they will get on the flight, depending on how we come off the training park but Carter has done really well and Bobby (Leota) is fine.
