Brumbies have announced that flanker Charlie Cale has signed a one-year contract extension with the Super Rugby club.

Cale is originally from Narromine and represented Eastwood in the Shute Shield. He joined Brumbies ahead of the 2023 season and made his debut in the Round 4 game against Moana Pasifika.

The 23-year-old has demonstrated his impressive skills in 2024, with 12 appearances in Super Rugby Pacific. It's clear he will further enhance his abilities and undergo rapid development while playing in the Capital over the next few seasons.

He is now set to make a return from an injury in the upcoming Super Rugby Pacific quarter-final game against Highlanders to be played at GIO Stadium on Saturday.

"It's incredibly exciting, the contract process can be long but when it's done, I get to stay at a place I call home," said Cale to the club's official website.

"I love the Brumbies, I was born in Sydney, but I call this place home now, they took a chance on me and I'm forever graceful.

"I want to be here, and I want to be here for a long time."
