Argentina lock Pedro Rubiolo has been ruled out of the upcoming Rugby Championship clash against Australia to be played in Santa Fe following a head injury.

Rubiolo sustained the blow during the last weekend's encounter against the Wallabies in La Plata and now is set to sit out of the rematch against Joe Schmidt's men as he adheres to concussion protocols.

Scrumhalf Lautaro Bazan Velez is sidelined due to a muscle strain sustained during warm-up, while loose forward Bautista Pedemonte is currently injured and did not participate in the previous match.

Former skipper and veteran Agustin Creevy has left the squad after playing his final international game which was also his 110th appearance in front of his home crowd last weekend.

Uncapped hooker Bautista Bernasconi has been called up to replace Creevy in the squad, while Tomas Cubelli steps in for Bazan Velez.

Argentina have also recalled Matias Alemanno in the squad as a cover for Rubiolo.

Following the 19-20 defeat to Australia last weekend, Argentina now are at third place in the Rugby Championship table with 5 points - one behind second placed New Zealand.
