Australia have included three uncapped players in the 35-man squad for the upcoming Rugby Championship games against Argentina.

David Feliuai, Josh Canham and Hamish Stewart are the players included for the first time in the squad while Filipo Daugunu and Hunter Paisami are sidelined due to injuries.

Brandon Paenga-Amosa, who has returned to Australia after a stint with Montpellier is also part of the squad along with Tom Robertson.

Langi Gleeson has returned back to the Wallabies squad after recovering from an ankle injury. James Slipper is set to surpass Australian record of most capped Test player as he has featured in 138 Tests which is one lesser than George Gregan's record of 139 matches.

"It's been a challenging couple of weeks but as a coaching group we are keen to continue trying to help a mostly consistent group go forward," Schmidt said.

"The Pumas have a talented and robust squad, which, along with the travel, will require further improvement from our squad."

Having lost both the matches against South Africa, Australia will now face Argentina at Estadio Jorge Luis Hirschi and Estadio Brigadier General Estanislao López on 31st August and 7th September respectively.
