Australia head coach Joe Schmidt has named Harry Wilson as the captain for the upcoming Rugby Championship Test against Argentina to be played in Buenos Aires on Saturday.

Wilson now becomes the fourth player to captain Australia in six Tests since Schmidt took over after Liam Wright, James Slipper and Allan Alaalatoa.

"Harry's been really good for us, and I think he's led himself really well," Schmidt said.

"He has a natural propensity to express himself well, but with very few words.

"I don't think that we want to be doing too much talking.

"It's about the actions that he's going to deliver and lead from the front, effectively."

The Wallabies have made five changes to the starting line up with Hamish Stewart replacing Hunter Paisami in the midfield to make his Test debut at inside centre while Jake Gordon starts at scrum half replacing Nic White.

The front row sees a couple of changes with Taniela Tupou and Matt Faessler coming in while Nick Frost replaces Angus Blyth in the second row.
