Cornish Pirates have confirmed that wing Arthur Relton has signed a contract with the club for the upcoming 2024/25 season.

A product of the Exeter Chiefs' Academy system, the 23-year-old represented University of Exeter in the BUCS Championship and went on to win the Under 20 Six Nations Championship for England Under 20 in the summer of 2021.

He played his early rugby for Brighton Blues and then, after moving to Cornwall, for Helston and Penzance & Newlyn RFC’s youth sections.

Dual registered with Exeter Chiefs for the past two seasons, the former England under-20s player made 27 appearances and scored 13 tries for the Cornish Pirates when his availability allowed.

“It is always good to have gifted Cornish bred players in the squad, so capturing Arthur’s signature is welcome news," said Cornish Pirates head coach Gavin Cattle.

“Fleet-footed and elusive, and having just turned 23, we are excited at the obvious further potential he possesses, so our natural aim will be to grow that and get the very best out of him.”

Cornish Pirates finished second in the Championship at the end of the 2023/24 season with 15 wins from 20 matches.
