Cornish Pirates sign scrum-half Cameron Jones

Cornish Pirates have announced the signing of scrum-half Cameron Jones ahead of the next season.

Born in Bridgend, the 23-year-old started playing for local club Maesteg Harlequins before heading to Ospreys academy. He also went on to represent Wales Under 16 before qualifying through his Scottish grandfather and went on to represent Scotland Under 18 side.

He also became part of became part of the Edinburgh Rugby and Glasgow Warriors setups.

Cornish Pirates head coach Gavin Cattle is excited about the signing of Jones.

“A player who has had good exposure at United Rugby Championship (URC) level, Cam has previously teamed up with Bruce whilst playing in Scotland for Edinburgh A," said head coach Cattle.

“Also, importantly, as gifted young player he is hungry to push his game on still further and I am very much looking forward to working with him and Dan Hiscocks in the scrum half department.”
