South Africa might miss the services of skipper Siya Kolisi for the upcoming fourth round Rugby Championship clash against South Africa to be played in Cape Town due to an injury.

Following late tries from Kwagga Smith and Grant Williams, the Boks came from 10-point deficit to defeat New Zealand 31-27 in Johannesburg last Saturday.

This was also South Africa's third consecutive win in the competition as they consolidated their position at the top of the Rugby Championship table.

The win though came with casualities as Kolisi suffered a facial injury while Kurt-Lee Arendse also suffered a concussion and failed the Head Injury Assessment in the second half. Both the players are now expected to miss the rematch against the All Blacks.

"It might be a fracture and, by the looks of it, might be the cheekbone. The doctor will have to take a look," Rassie Erasmus told reporters.

Erasmus also praised the performances of young talented fly-half Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, who contributed 16 points and fullback Aphelele Fassi.

"Fassi was fantastic. Willie (le Roux) helped him during the week, while Handre (Pollard) assisted Sacha. There are many examples like that of older players helping younger Springboks.

"It is inevitable that we will lose some matches, but as long as we keep showing incredible character against a team like New Zealand, I will be happy."
