Cardiff have announced that 14 players will be leaving the Welsh province at the end of the 2023/24 season.

Josh Turnbull retired from the game in March while Ellis Jenkins also announced that he will quit following 11 years.

Tomos Williams will exit the club for Gloucester with Rhys Carre is set to rejoin Saracens. Willis Halaholo, who went past 100 appearances will return to New Zealand with Shane Lewis-Hughes making a switch to Dragons.

Arwel Robson, Matt Aubrey, Max Clark, Gonzalo Bertranou, Ciaran Parker, Lopeti Timani, Aled Summerhill and Owen Lane comprise the remaining of the departing list.

“It is always a difficult time of year when any player departs, whether they have been here for a year or ten years, and we thank them for all of their efforts in a Blue and Black jersey," said head coach Matt Sherratt to the club's official website.

“All 14 of these players have given their absolute all for the club during their time here and can look back on their time at Cardiff Arms Park with enormous pride.

“Six of the boys are products of a fantastic pathway and have been involved with the club since they were 15-16-years-old, they have dedicated so much of their life to Cardiff, and will always remain a Blue and Black.

“The likes of Willis and JT, have also established themselves as adopted Cardiffians and will go down as among our greatest signings.

“We wish all 14 players the very best for the next chapter, whether that is experiencing something new with another club, moving into coaching or life after rugby.”
