Australia have suffered a triple injury blow ahead of the second round of the Rugby Championship game to be played against South Africa on Saturday.

The 7-33 defeat against the Springboks was the first for the Wallabies under head coach Joe Schmidt, who took over the role early this year when he replaced Eddie Jones.

Filipo Daugunu was forced to leave the field in the 26th minute of the encounter with a leg injury while Nick Frost and Jeremy Williams are down with concussions.

Meanwhile, Taniela Tupou is also expected to miss the weekend's game against Rassie Erasmus' men as he is set to attend his father's funeral.

Josh Canham, who recently signed a deal with Queensland Reds has been added to the squad along with Sam Carter and Tom Robertson.

Following the encounter in Brisbane, the Wallabies and the Springboks will now lock horns with each other at Optus Stadium in Perth on 17th August.
