Ospreys hooker Lewis Lloyd signs new deal

Ospreys have announced that hooker Lewis Lloyd has penned a new contract with the Welsh province.

A product of Ospreys Academy, Lloyd made his debut for the club in this season's opener against Connacht and has played in six matches for the province till now.

He also featured for the Wales Under 20 side in six matches and had an impressive Junior World Championship in which he scored four tries in five matches.

“I am over the moon to sign this deal with the Ospreys," he told the club's official website.

"This club has been my home, and the support I've received from the coaches, teammates and fans has been incredible. I'm determined to work even harder and contribute to the team's success in the years to come."

Ospreys head coach Toby Booth is delighted with Lloyd remaining with the club.

“It’s great that Lew has committed his future to the club. We’ve been really impressed with his development since the start of the season and believe he has only scratched the surface of his potential."

Ospreys are positioned 10th in the United Rugby Championship table with six wins from 11 matches.
