Bath Rugby have announced that lock Elliott Stooke will be leaving the Premiership club at the end of the 2023/24 season when his contract expires.

Stooke started his professional rugby career with Gloucester in 2014 and also had a loan stint with with London Irish before he joined Bath in 2017/18 season during which he went on to play all 22 games.

The 30-year-old made a switch to Wasps but rejoined Bath back in 2023 following a short stint with Montpellier after the Coventry based side went into administration. He has made 14 appearances for Bath in the 2023/24 season.

“I had a great time at Bath, it was a shame we couldn’t get it over the line, but I believe in what Johann and team are doing and silverware for this team isn’t far away," he told the club's official website.

Bath Head of Rugby Johann van Graan heaped praises on Stooke and his contribution to the club over the years.

“What a brilliant team man Elliott is. He made a great return to Bath this season both on and off the field. We wish him the very best, and I can’t speak highly enough of him. His best is definitely yet to come.”
